My name is Yongyi Zhao (赵永一). I am a PhD student in the Rice University Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department, working with Professor Ashok Veeraraghavan in the Computational Imaging Group. I am supported by a National Library of Medicine (NLM) fellowship.
I completed my bachelor's degree at Carnegie Mellon University, also majoring in ECE. My topic of interest is signal processing, specifically focusing on computational imaging. I also enjoy studying digital logic design and software systems. Outside of my academic pursuits, I am also an avid runner (for an example of my devotion to the art of track, check out this article that was featured in the Boston Globe), violin player (also trying to pick up guitar and piano), and a hobbyist writer (check out my writing portfolio). Recently, I also started playing around with rendering and sketching. Feel free to explore the rest of my page and check out some of my other projects in the links below!
